i think this poster is by far the most useful thing i saw in my decade working for siemens.
(see alt-text for a transcript)
this is genuine and was all over all sites back in those days.
also: yes, i was having loads of fun insisting on following the recommendations of the notes...

A bad picture of a poster with 3x4 squares containing the following text:

Good preparation is the key to a good meeting

1. Define the objective of the meeting and clearly communicate it in the
invitation. (note: never go to a meeting without an objective)
2. Invite the right people - and only them - sufficiently in advance (note:
never go to a meeting unless you are sure you have to be there)
3. Send key information in advance, along with the agenda and timetable (note:
never go to a meeting…

The list of swift challenges on this post align very closely with my own challenges.
One day, when I am not obsessed with Godot I should contribute to fix these:

When my manager got laid off, a project fell in my lap. I spent days piecing together implementation details from notes & reverse engineering a proof of concept. It ended up requiring a bunch of coordination & integration with teams company-wide. Today it launched and it’s working! *sigh of relief*

@… I have done so occasionally. Nowadays I’m more likely to use a mobile notes app. My working notes are then easier to upload to a source code manager as files, or even transcribe t block comments in the relevant source code.

The government of Saudi Arabia plans to create a fund of about $40 billion to invest in artificial intelligence, according to three people briefed on the plans — the latest sign of the gold rush toward a technology that has already begun reshaping how people live and work.

Is there a good app out there for collecting short notes to onesself. It should sync & let you tag? Sorta like a notes app tailored to short blobs of text ~500 char?
I keep having (bad) ideas for toots, so write them down in an Apple Note, but it’s gotten _big_. I want to track them individually to let me decide late if i’m going to post them, round file them, or continue to sit on them.
It sounds so dumb, but normal note ux isn’t quite working when you’ve got 500 chars of po…

I haven't done #VFX set supervision in a while, so being on set again makes me feel impostor syndrome: everybody's friendly and organised, I get asked for my opinion from time to time. But at the same time there are these tightly-knit groups of people all around me, working like clockwork, carrying heavy things, talking into headsets, fiddling with knobs. I'm just taking notes and stickin…

Still slowly working on a proposal to replace an old out-of-date and unsupported app at work. Not a high priority as it still works (kind of). Transferred off some notes from the phone into the high level requirements document. Next is to do a mockup of how the page showing available reports to download should look. Security is the first thing in the requirments. Where code is stored (and where not stored) is the next. Code reviews for all changes is required.
